How bandwidth effects video streaming quality.
Just like most streaming services, when streaming a live sporting event on Screach, the service will automatically adjust the quality of video to its assessment of your internet speed.
This is to insure you don’t experience interruptions or buffering of the images but the visual quality may suffer.
1 Mb/s When you stream live sporting events at a speed around 1 Mb/s, the video quality will look poor on a large screen a bit like watching a very old VHS movie.
5 Mb/s for viewing standard definition video (480p) Similar to over the air terrestrial TV
10 Mb/s for viewing HD video (720p) Similar to most HD terrestrial, cable and satellite channels
25 Mb/s for viewing HD video (1080p) Similar to some HD cable and satellite channels
It is recommended that a download speed of 10Mb/s is available per streaming device.
Note: Sharing your connection with multiple devices will decrease the available bandwidth for the streaming device.
